How can I assess the knowledge of a User When I send them to a Web Page or You Tube Video?
You can set any number of assessment questions for them to answer while they consume the content or after. For now, these questions are choice questions only but we will be adding additional question types in the coming months.
How can I augment the material on the site I’ve sent them to?
You can upload SCORM packages, PowerPoints or PDFs. We will convert these last two to HTML 5 and present them to the User after they have read or watched the core material.
Can I send them to more than one page on one or more sites?
Not yet, but soon. For now Badge earning opportunities are single page but we will shortly allow you to define any number of pages on any number of sites each with their own ability to add additional content and perform assessments.
Can I stack Badges?
We follow the Open Badges 2.0 and up standards so soon you will be able to define stacking badges. This means you can build both simple ad hoc Awards as well as create deep Learning projects and certifications.
Can I direct people to a listing of just my Badges or does everything need to come from the "Earn a Badge" page library?
Each Issuer gets their own page that contains just their Badges. This page will show your Issuer Logo and your description.
What is a Private Badge?
When you create a Badge you have a lot of power over who can earn them. Tiny Award allows bother Private and Public Badges. Private Badges can be limited to users from your organization, or a list of Users you provide or to users who have Access Codes you provide. Public Badges are available to all Users.
How many Badges can I issue?
That’s up to you. While we give you tools to limit the number of Badges Tiny Award will issue we put no controls on how many badges you can issue. That goes for Manually issued Badges as well. That goes for the API as well so feel free to tie us into your LMS and use Tiny Award for all your Badging needs.
Why would I want to get my Issuer Verified?
In a word…. Trust. When you take the steps to allow us to verify you are the organization you say you are we can tell Users that you are the real deal. This increases the value of the badges you are issuing. In addition, your badges will always show ahead of unverified badges on your own site as well as in the "Earn a Badge" page library.
What is the cost to use Tiny Award?
Tiny Award is Free.
Who Ownes the Badges and Badge Data?
You do. We don’t. It is that simple. Who earned your badges is your business not ours.
What if I want to move off Tiny Award and store my Badges elsewhere? Or what if Tiny Award disappears?
Feel free; you can export one or all your Badges at any time and add them to any other Open Badge based platform you wish. We will continue to store the data about how the badge was earned and will continue to answer validation requests even once you go. We will also provide an option in thew future to write the Badge data to the pubic blockchain to make sure that even if Tiny Award ceases to exist the records of Badges earned on Tiny Award will live forever.
What is the API for?
We want Tiny Award to work with Humans and Machines. The API will let your internal systems create and issue Badges and bring back Badging Data into the HR system that need to know about the Micro Credentials earned.
I've issued some badges, but now I can't delete my Badge? I no longer want to offer this Badge.
Once you have issued a Badge, you can't delete it. If you want to stop issuing more, set it to Inactive, and it will no longer be available for earning. If you really want to delete it, you can, but first, you will need to go into Metrics for the Badge and revoke all the Badges you have given. Then you may delete the Badge.
